Popin' Pete

   Popin' Pete's older brother "Boogaloo" Sam Solomon, created POPPING & FRESNO BOOGALOO STYLE in 1975. These styles are often duplicated within the dance industry and usually without the proper credit or compensation given to the true innovators of these styles, The Electric Boogaloos.

POPIN PETE is a second generation member of The Electric Boogaloos, joining the group in 1978. During that time, Pete and the other members of The Electric Boogaloos appeared on many popular shows including :

    The Midnight Special
    Kicks
    Real people
    Soul Train

When they appeared on Soul Train with "moves no one had ever seen before", the nation immediately tried to imitate their trademark "funky" style . Popin' Pete's resume is about as long as the great wall of china with such accomplishments as Commercials: GAP, Sketchers, Levi Strauss, McDonald's, Various soda brands like 7-Up, Shasta, Pepsi. Award shows: The Grammys, Soul Train Awards, BillBoard Tv land awards. Music Videos: Beat it-Michael Jackson, Crossed Eyed & Painless-The Talking Heads, Captain EO & Ghost- Michael Jackson.

Currently Popin' Pete is blazing stages on a domestic and international level. Working alongside some of this generation's brightest and most talented music artists. Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Mya, The Black Eyed Peas and Janet Jackson just to name a few. The work he has done with them includes: Performing alongside Janet Jackson at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, A featured dancer in The Black eyed Pea's "My Humps" video, and Co-Choreographing Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up" video and also Co-Choreographing for both: Justin Timberlake's and Gwen Stefani's 2007 tour.
